Shiitake mushrooms (Lentinus Edodes) are cultivated mushrooms that originated in Asia but can now be found all over the world. They have a very distinct aroma and provide a nice meaty flavour profile when added to your favorite dish. In its sliced form, Shiitake mushrooms will have a dark brown cap with golden yellow gills underneath and a creamy white cross section.

Suggested Use: 

Dried Shiitake mushrooms, when rehydrated, make a fantastic addition to stir fries, soups and other prepared vegetable dishes.
